At the end of the day I&#8217;d been really angry with my boss for being high-handed and abrupt in an email &#8211; not directly to me, but to someone else.  I was about to send a snippy email back, and then at the last minute I didn&#8217;t &#8211; partly because I&#8217;d prefer not to be fired, but also because I was remembering that it&#8217;s not a good idea to send snippy emails when angry.  By the time I got to my car, I&#8217;d realized that in fact I kind of set the whole situation up &#8211; some things in my previous emails very likely made it seem like the situation was a contentious one, and it wasn&#8217;t, and didn&#8217;t need to be.  And I was pestering about some trivial stuff when there&#8217;s more important and stressful stuff going on.<\/p>\n<p>Totally my bad.
